Standards of Excellence Program

Lymphoma Coalition has just launched the newly developed Standards of Excellence program for its member organisations. The goal of the program to help improve and demonstrate member organisations’ high standards of operation and in turn, improve trusting relationships with local health care professionals and patients.

Results from The Global Patient Survey conducted by Lymphoma Coalition in 2014 and 2016 revealed that patients need additional support beyond what they are receiving in appointments with their health care professionals. While patient organisations can often help fill the gap by providing supplemental information and ongoing support, in many parts of the world, patients are not being referred. Patient referrals are based on trust, respect and how an organisation operates which leads to a strong relationship between physicians and patient organisations.

The program contains four templated modules which serve as guidelines for consistent high standards of operation that are rooted in high-quality patient-centric support.
